OneShotMad

The One Shot Film Festival has been invited by CINEMAD, a Spanish cult film festival, to be part of it’s 2009 celebrations.

Much to our delight a shortlist of One Shot entries will be screened before each film, and the public will be able to vote on their favorites.

To accommodate this, we’re extending our deadline until the end of October. So, one the one hand, more time to enter and, on the other, the possibility of having your entry shown in some of Madrid’s most prestigious screens, like the Renoir.

New dates are then:

Entry deadline: 31 October

Shortlist: 20 November

Awards: 31 November

Check out CINEMAD’s 2008 website for more info (this year’s will be available later this month): http://www.cinemad.org/08/html/

No cheat!

We’ve got five new entries. And the first ad for the One Shot Film Festival not done by the One Shot Film Festival.

That was quite clever guys. An ad for the festival itself was guaranteed to be showcased by us.

Is that cheating? Or just being creative?

Made to measure

The One Shot Film Festival keeps going strong and the entries pouring in.

And now we’re starting to see films made specifically for the festival, and that makes us very, very happy. It’s what this is all about, people with ideas going out and doing things. And it feels great to know we’re to ‘blame’.

This one – Threat – is a timely reminder of how one threat [the swine flu, in this case] doesn’t necessarily replace another [HIV]. It’s a good observation and a great effort.

We’re two…

…months old. And after a slower start to August (called Summer) we’re back on track. And really happy with all the recent contributions – 57 films in total, almost one per day, is quite encouraging.

But the quality of the latest entries made us even more ambitious so please, spread the word and, if you haven’t yet, enter.

Let’s make everyone understand that creativity is the best weapon against the recession.

Check out our latest effort and, please, let us know what you think. Cheers.

You can’t help but laugh at this. And then cringe. And then laugh again. Great stuff from Marcelo, Nuno e Jorge.

We want more!

Please, please the Mrs.

The football season is upon us and so are football matches on TV. So, it’s time to start collecting those points with the Mrs.

Good insight, good framing but, more importantly, just good advice really.

The Joker got BIGGER!

No, not that one. This one is actually cute. And everything with basketball and tall characters overpowering small people gets my vote.

You can see the whole campaign in the gallery.

Generation gap

Nice twist on the generation gap cliché. Being part of  a youth symphonic orchestra is definitely an act of rebellion these days!

Action packed calls

Clever use of footage and V.O. make for a great example of a One Shot ad campaign. See all four ads in the gallery.

Well done guys.
